Security Policy
===============

The FlatDict project takes security seriously. If you discover a security vulnerability
in FlatDict, please report it to us immediately so we can address it as quickly as possible.

Reporting a Vulnerability
-------------------------

To report a security vulnerability, please follow these steps:

1. **Do not publicly disclose the vulnerability until it has been addressed.**

2. Send an email to the `FlatDict maintainer <mailto:codejedi365+security@gmail.com>`_
   with the following information:

   - A detailed description of the vulnerability.
   - Steps to reproduce the vulnerability.
   - Any potential impact or severity of the vulnerability.
   - Any suggested fixes or mitigations, if you have any.

3. We will acknowledge receipt of your report within 48 hours and will work with you to
   address the issue.
